Earls Court Area Guide
Located in the south west corner of zone 1, Earl's Court is in a great location with easy access to the city centre, as well as west and south west London. Once referred to as 'Kangaroo Court', the area used to be immensely popular with antipodeans in the 1980’s, but since then the area has been gentrified and rent has risen meaning that most travellers you find here will be living in backpacker's hostels.
The area is packed with street after street of beautiful four and five story terraced homes and is home to the famous Art Deco Earl's Court Exhibition Centre, which serves as the neighbourhoods main attraction, popular with events such as, ski, travel, motor and wedding shows as well as some pretty big name concerts. Being so close to the city centre, there's not much in the way of green spaces in Earl's Court, however, Holland Park is a 10 minute walk up Earl's Court Road, towards High Street Kensington and is a great place to kick back and relax.
